This website is operated by Sophie Welch (the artist and owner of Sophie Welch Art). Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Sophie Welch Art.

Please read the following Terms of Service carefully. By continuing to use this site, browse our artwork/products and/or make a purchase, you are engaging with our “Service” and agree to be bound by these “Terms”.

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. 

  • In accordance with international copyright law, copyright and ownership of all the artwork on this site remains the sole property of Sophie Welch. This means that you are not permitted to reproduce, licence, or sell prints of our work under any circumstances. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose nor may you, in the use of this Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws). 

    We retain the right to use photographs of our artwork and to make and sell reproductions of our artwork, even after it has sold, unless formal written agreement has been obtained from the artist. 

    You must not download or save any photographs from this site, however sharing your own photographs of the artwork that you have purchased on your socials is encouraged and I would love and appreciate it if you could tag me in your photographs, crediting me as the artist. text goes here

  • Sophie Welch Art is a small business based in the UK and therefore all items purchased are shipped from UK. Postage is free within the UK. If you wish to make a purchase from outside the UK, Northern Ireland or EU, please send us a message so we can discuss your requirements and obtain a shipping quote. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship our products to Northern Ireland and the rest of EU due to the current GPSR regulations.

    We aim to package and ship your items within a week, however please note that we are a very small business with family and job commitments. We will keep you fully updated in the event of any possible delays. 

    When placing an order, please ensure that your delivery details are correct. In the event that an address has been incorrectly entered, please notify us immediately so that we can amend your order. We are not responsible for missing parcels if the delivery address provided to us at checkout is incorrect and we have not been notified until after the item has been sent for shipment.

    Please be aware that Sophie Welch Art is not liable for any customs duties or any other applicable charges. If any customs charges are applicable to you, this will be charged separately by the customs agency in your country when they receive your shipment. This will need to be paid by you, the customer, before they can deliver your order. You will be notified by the customs agency/postal service/courier by email, phone or mail if there are charges to be paid. If requested charges are not paid within the required timescale, your order will be returned to us and upon receipt of the item/s, you will receive a refund for the purchase minus the shipping costs.

  • Once products have been received by the postal service, we are not liable for any delays that might occur. Once the collector has received their purchase, we are not liable for any damage that is caused from mishandling the products when being unpackaged so please handle carefully with clean hands, as a refund will not be given in these circumstances. Cotton gloves are recommended for handling artwork. Every piece is handled with great care at every stage of creation. Items purchased are then quality control checked before being packaged up and sent for shipping, to ensure complete customer satisfaction upon receipt of your order.

  • We want every customer to be excited and happy to receive their purchase and customer service is of the utmost importance to us. However, we know that things can go wrong, and in the unlikely and unfortunate event that you find something is wrong with your order, please email us immediately at support@sophiewelchart.com so we can do everything we can to put it right. If your order has been damaged during delivery, please also include photographs of the damage in your email so we can investigate while we discuss your options.

    In the event that a customer simply changes their mind and wishes to return their order, providing the goods are received in the same condition that they were packaged and shipped, a refund for the purchase (minus the shipping fee) will be issued. The customer is responsible for the return shipping fee and ensuring the goods are sufficiently packaged to prevent damage during transit.
